Ground Ferns

Ferns are an essential part of the shade garden, a source of winter interest and structure, and provide a richness and variety of forms which have fascinated gardeners ever since the fern-fever or ‘Pteridomania’ of the 19th century. Collecting ground ferns was always going to an irresistible accompaniment to the passion for tree ferns, so the nursery has a wide and eclectic stock of both hardy and tender ferns
