Primary School, Herfordshire – Spring 2013
Pursuing his enthusiasm for both conservation and education, Lyndon joined forces with award winning conservation gardener, Paul ‘Scruffy’ Pulford to help create a wildflower meadow at a school in Hertfordshire. This project involved ensuring the soil chemistry was right, sculpting the surface of the ground, and then planting and sowing a wide range of appropriate native flowers. Management of this project is ongoing. There has been a great deal of community interest in the meadow and the present maintenance company feel it is a good asset for the school.
Above all it has been about involving and educating the school’s children about the beauty and importance of native plants and the environment.
